Jazz is dancig again
Saxophone player Lakatos created the new " Time Music "

Jazz combined with a rhythm, that reminds to James Brown and a good portion of

rap - that might describe the new sound of the recent album of Tony Lakatos.

The worldwide acknowledged jazz saxphone player now presents his produktion

" Move it ", a new, singular, pleasant Jazz that moves for dancing.

Already the first track " Walkabout " gives a contagious rhythm feeling and inspires for more.

Opposite from " Word music " the ethnic fusion

"  T I M E  M U S I C  "  is how Tony Lakatos calls the new style, a fusion of traditional

jazz feel of the fifties, the rhythm from the seventies and the rap elements from

today. Kind of journey in musical time periods. More than a year he developed

this new sound with the multi - talented musician and programmer Roberto di Gioia.

Non-conventional and analog instruments, also new sounds were tested and developed.

The result is impressive. Apart of being a brilliant keyboarder, guitar player, bassman and drummer,

Di Gioiaalso is an experienced programmer.

Further famous names as Peter O'mara and Martin Scales ( guitars ), Ernst Stroer ( percussion )

or Tom Nicholas Jr. ( rap vocals ) made this new sound complete.

All the songs ( with exception of " Bernies Tune ") were especially composed and

developed for the record by both producers Lakatos and Di Gioia.

The jazz dancing nights of the old days which were marked by the Glenn Miller and

Benny Goodmann bands are having a revival now - with a sound that fits in our time

In Japan  " Move it " has been already released in June 2001 on Universal Music

and is very successful.

The native hungarian Tony Lakatos, who is internationally known as one the most

outstanding saxophone players in jazz, impresses with this production with a

remarkable new sound.
